As a self-employed Therapist I know you will appreciate that my time is my business. As with all businesses, overheads are a factor, and whether a client attends their appointment or not I still have costs to cover such as insurance, professional membership fees, heating, electricity, laundry, products, to name but a few.  Unfortunately last-minute cancellations and "no shows" have become more frequent.  I understand that unanticipated events happen in life but to run my business effectively and to be fair to all my clients I have implemented the following policies:

Any cancellation fees applied will be at my discretion and will obviously be waived regarding bereavement, pregnancy-related issues and any emergencies. Appointment cancellations due to Covid-19 will be re-booked once you are able to safely come to your appointment.

Cancellation Policy

  • 48 hours advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment, this allows me to offer the appointment to someone else.
  • If you are unable to attend an appointment or need to cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours notice is required to avoid 50% of therapy costs being incurred.
  • No shows.  Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses not to turn up for their appointment with no contact will be considered a "no show".  The full cost of the treatment will be charged.
  • Any prepayments taken at time of a booking will be deducted at appointment, for late cancellation pre-payment is not refundable
  • By booking an appointment you agree to this cancellation policy

I reserve the right to:

  • not offer appointments following unpaid cancellation fees
  • request a non-refundable booking fee to secure any appointments which will be deducted from the therapy cost at the time of appointment

Time Keeping

Your commitment to your appointment time is very much appreciated. If you arrive late your session may have to be shortened so I can accommodate clients who have an appointment following yours.   I will do my best to utilise as much of the session time as possible but can't allow your appointment to overrun the allocated diary time impacting other clients. Costs for the full session will apply.
