Acupressure for Stress Relief
My interest in reflexology has led me to explore more about using Acupressure as a self-help tool. This is an article by Michael Reed Gach PhD which gives the points for stress relief.
Acupressure is a healing method that uses fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities. Stimulating these points with pressure triggers the release of endorphins which are neurochemicals that relieve pain. There is an increase in blood flow and oxygen to the affected area, this causes the muscles to relax and promotes healing.
Use prolonged finger pressure directly on the point for approximately one minute. Click on link below to download PDF.
This is a self-help guide and not to be used in place of medical advice from a GP.
